Learn how to feel

Hello, I'm Laura.

(she/they)

Sometimes life takes truly unexpected turns. Just a few years ago, I would never have imagined that I, of all people, would one day be helping people to feel and embody their emotions.

When feelings are overwhelming

For most of my life, emotions were a great mystery to me – nebulous, vague, and therefore somehow threatening. Often I didn't really know what I was feeling or what I wanted. As a result, I frequently overstepped my own boundaries and got lost in the expectations and ideas of others.

Exploring my queerness and building relationships was therefore always rather bumpy for me. No wonder – I simply knew very little about my emotional world. I had difficulty taking my feelings seriously, or communicating them openly.

Still thinking about it?
Let's feel it instead!

Through self-help and talk therapy, I managed to shed some light on the situation. However, it was only later – thanks to my trainings – that I came into contact with trauma-sensitive and body-oriented approaches, which then made a real difference for me.

Previously, I was able to re-evaluate things for myself – but that didn't mean I could act or feel differently. Only the guidance in directly working with my feelings allowed me access to myself, which had simply been blocked until then.

It dawned on me: I've been dealing with trauma responses my whole life, and I didn't even know it.

Trauma knowledge
for the queers!

I know all too well how helpful trauma knowledge and trauma sensitivity are. Therefore, I have made it my mission to bring both specifically to the queer community.

With my lecture "Collective Trauma in the Queer Community - Why We Need Each Other to Heal", I raise awareness of the collective pain that the queer community carries and can only be addressed collectively.

My vision

Logo Queer Collective Healing

I believe in a community based on greater understanding and compassion - which will require us to name and process our collective wounds.

I am convinced that if we come together and lovingly confront our individual and shared pain, we as individuals and as a community can achieve much greater well-being and change in this world.
